Hudson Valley Academy of Performing Arts is the largest dance school in Columbia County, with a main studio measuring over 1600 square feet with a 15′ ceiling and the famous “Bolo Floating Dance Floors”.
Our floor is of the type considered essential by professional dance schools and companies throughout the world. Its resiliency helps to protect muscles and joints from undue strain. The builders of our floor also installed the dance floors in the Lee Strasberg Institute and Gelsey Kirkland’s school in NYC.
Additional amenities include equipment that is utilized for personal training sessions, a small stage perfect for music recitals and play readings, and a collection of dance books and periodicals available for student use.
A large parking lot, easy access off the Taconic State Parkway and the surrounding businesses and beautiful countryside make the Academy the perfect venue for special events and performances.
